Get Involved

There are many ways that you can get involved in keeping your church a living presence in everyone's lives. Many refer to our "church family" but it's so easy to forget that, like your biological families, your extended church family needs your efforts, too! From helping with the children's classes to making sure the building stays clean, if we all pitch in we can share the work and the rewards of taking care of one another.

If you're interested in giving of your time and talents in any of the following areas,
just talk to the person responsible for that task or any member of the leadership council.

Nursery & Treehouse
Becky Marquez

The Treehouse ministry is available for children in first through sixth grades during Sunday morning service. More volunteers are always needed.

Music

Hospitality & Cleaning

If you love to help people feel welcome we invite you to join our hospitality team. It's an easy way to share a smile, cup of coffee and God's love.

If you're looking for an easy, no-stress way to serve? Volunteers clean the church once every month or two. It's quick and gives instant gratification!

We are the Boise-based branch of the Covenant Church's Compassion, Mercy and Justice ministry. We are part of the Covenant's North Pacific Conference. For more information visit the main Ministry site here.

Jesus' ministry was defined by compassion, mercy, and justice to the marginalized, the outcasts and those who were hurting. As followers of Jesus, our task is to take up his mission in our world. Called to make disciples of all the nations; our first step toward faith is a ministry of caring for others.

We help others because Jesus would. We help others because we can and we care. We know people need a relationship with God like they need food, water and shelter. In caring, we know our faith is vibrant and worth sharing.

As relational beings, our work is towards reconciliation that restores human dignity. We relate to others as God relates to us: with compassion, mercy and justice. As we draw closer to God we naturally are naturally drawn closer to those who are hurting.

Let us come together as God's Kingdom agents; co-operatively sharing in the work of God. Let us take part in God's glorious future - the new Heaven and the new Earth - entering into our present world.

CGC has several ongoing small groups to include a women's bible study, a book study group, and a group focused on building community within the church, with more coming soon.

Youth Ministry

We have a growing kids' ministry, called Treehouse, which features four different age groupings run by background-checked volunteers. Treehouse is conducted during our worship service for all children grades 5 and below. Junior and senior high students meet separately during the week.
